As part of the Edugraal project, Les Apprimeurs recently organized a workshop for the ULIS class at Albert Vin\u00e7on secondary school in Saint Nazaire. This class caters for pupils aged 10 to 15 with special educational needs. The aim of this workshop was to introduce students to a challenge paper developed as part of the Edugraal project. <\/p>\n\n

The book in which you are the hero <\/h2>\n\n

A homework adventure is designed as an adventure in which you are the hero, offering an immersive learning and revision experience.<\/p>\n\n

The homework adventure the students took on that day explored scientific concepts around the different states of matter, through the story “Camping in the mountains<\/em>“.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n

The book, projected onto the interactive whiteboard, enabled students to actively participate in the story. The students quickly took to the game and agreed to read a passage from the story. They solved the riddles and chose their path collectively. <\/p>\n\n

Interactivity at the heart of learning <\/h2>\n\n

Interactivity and active reading easily captured students’ attention, creating a stimulating learning environment. The workshop thus combined the entertaining aspect of a story with educational content designed to deepen understanding of scientific concepts.<\/p>\n\n

The inclusive aspect of the workshop was underlined by the teacher and the AVS through the flexibility of the challenge, which was adapted to meet the specific needs of the ULIS class. In fact, we had the opportunity to work with the teacher beforehand to ensure that the content was adapted to the level and format of the students. <\/p>\n\n

The success of this workshop once again confirms the benefits of combining active, collective and participative reading with interactive storytelling as part of fundamental learning. <\/p>\n\n
