The project

4 Elements offers a range of resources for adult learners and their trainers to improve their digital skills, their knowledge of European heritage and culture and their foreign language skills.

Context

Without cultural differences and multiculturalism, Europe would not only not exist, but it would miss one of its greatest strengths. Taking advantage of the European Year of Cultural Heritage (2018), whose main objective was to encourage more people to discover and engage with Europe’s cultural heritage, the partnership – composed of 7 organisations from Belgium, Estonia, France, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and Spain active in the fields of education and cultural heritage – has developed a project to train educators working with adult learners to equip their learners with the skills and competences, including language and digital skills, needed in the modern European Union labour market.

By addressing common cross-cutting concerns, such as cultural heritage, language and digital skills, the results of this project enabled organisations to promote intercultural dialogue between adult educators and learners from different EU countries by linking territories through culture and education.

Targets

The 4 Elements resources are aimed at social workers, teachers, tutors, professors, adult learners and people or organisations working in the fields of culture and heritage. The project raised awareness and appreciation of the importance of culture and heritage at EU level.

Resources

The partnership has developed:
