When nature becomes a refuge and a resource

How can nature do us good? How can it become an ally in difficult times? These are the questions that will inspire the beneficiaries supported by the UFCV in Pornichet and Pontchâteau to create a series of original works based on their experiences and feelings.

The exhibition aims to highlight the intimate connection that each of us has with nature, revealing what it can offer in terms of calm, peace and reconnection with oneself. It is also a way of getting to know the Brière Regional Nature Park better through the eyes of those who live, walk and breathe there.

Cyanotypes to give shape to this connection

To bring this approach to life, participants will create cyanotypes – an ancient photographic technique that uses sunlight to produce deep blue impressions of plants. Each creation will be accompanied by a short text, a sound recording or a recorded atmosphere, in order to engage multiple senses in the exhibition.

The works will be exhibited during the Water Festival and presented in an interactive digital book available on the partners’ websites. A printed booklet may also be distributed on the day of the event. To extend the experience, cyanotype workshops open to the public (including the creation of bookmarks) will be offered.

A creative journey along the water

A series of artistic and sensory workshops will be organised throughout September with the UFCV branches in Pornichet and Pontchâteau. These collective creative sessions will enable participants to explore their connection with nature, discover the cyanotype technique, write, capture sounds and work together to prepare the exhibition, which will be unveiled at the Water Festival on 5 October 2025!
