Context

Digital technology is omnipresent in our daily lives and practices. This reality raises strong ecological, technological, economic and social issues. In light of the climate emergency, the digitalization of society – accelerated by the Covid-19 health crisis – and the imperatives of inclusion and social justice, it seems essential and urgent to shape a digital world that is more virtuous, more respectful of the environment and of all users. The professional sector is at the heart of current transitions. In this, it brings together a set of behaviors and tools that can have a considerable impact on the environment.

However, it can be difficult to find one’s way through all the terms and existing solutions, and to find truly effective action levers. Moreover, there are few references that would bring together and articulate digital issues. We found a widespread need for guidance and support to gain confidence and impact. We are therefore interested in acquiring fundamental knowledge and responsible practices around three overarching themes: digital sobriety, digital accessibility, and inclusion.

Objectives

The Good Manager wishes to contribute to the development of new professional practices by fully integrating social and environmental responsibility issues in the design and management of digital strategies and technologies. The implementation of the project had several objectives.

For trainers:

  • Equip them with open and adaptable training content to integrate new issues and key skills from the world of work into current training courses
  • Encourage the practice of micro-learning and dematerialized learning resources through a low-tech and accessible technical solution
  • Integrate the issue of inclusion within training by promoting the integration of all learners, including professionals with disabilities and/or who are far from digital technology.

For learners:

  • Make them aware of the link and interactions between eco-design and content accessibility and thus expand their digital skills in these areas
  • Give them the means to integrate, from the design of digital projects, target audiences who are far from the digital world or who have specific needs with regard to the digital world (age, disability, disorders, old equipment, etc.)
