The project
This project is dedicated to specific learning disabilities known as “DYS”: dyslexia, dysphasia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, (also known as “Developmental Coordination Disorder (DAC)”).
Tutodys offers a platform dedicated to supporting the development of basic skills for children with DYS disorders aged 6 to 12. Different levels of exercises linked to the school curriculum are available: in reading, writing, oral expression, mathematics, physics, life science and general knowledge. The aim of this platform is to enable children to train at home and feel more independent in a familiar, safe environment.
Context
Studies estimate that around 10% of the population in Europe have DYS disorders. These disorders are still unevenly recognized and supported in the different European countries, and support for pupils with DYS disorders remains difficult.
DYS disorders can be detected as early as age 6, when the process of acquiring basic reading, writing and mathematical skills begins at school. It is therefore important to detect and support students as early as possible, to avoid an accumulation of delays and a loss of commitment that could lead to further academic difficulties or even premature school drop-out.
Target groups
This project is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 with DYS disorders. It is also aimed at parents, specialists and teachers.
